Guardian Hapkido Academy specializes in teaching an advanced style of Martial Arts called Hapkido. Hapkido is a Korean form of self-defense that employs a variety of strikes, kicks, including the use of joint locks, pressure points, grappling and throwing techniques as well as extensive weapons training. Hapkido has an extensive program of counters to defeat opponents of any level, especially those trained in other Martial Arts. All techniques used in the Israeli Martial Art Krav Maga are utilized within Hapkido as well as every type of specialized strike in Muay Thai, including elbow and knee striking combinations. Hapkido is the most well-rounded of Martial Arts and is the MMA of Eastern Martial Arts, covering every detail necessary in self-defense type situations.

INSTRUCTOR JOSHUA ANTHONY GIL AND INSTRUCTOR ERIK NEGRETTE-MACIAS
Both Instructor Gil and Instructor Negrette-Macias have dedicated their lives to the training and teaching of Martial Arts. With over 15 years of training in Hapkido, they were trained directly under the highest ranking Grandmaster in the Hapkidowon Organization, Grandmaster Hong Sik-Myung. Instructor Erik focuses on the "street fight," throwing your opponents to the ground and crushing them into submission, while Instructor Josh has years of experience training and teaching boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai in MMA Cage Fighting style situations. Both Instructors are Adepts in all Aspects of Martial Arts.
